The NKVTC is a Regional Occupational Center formed by the Delano Joint Union High School District, the McFarland Unified School District and the Wasco Union High School District. The NKVTC is a Joint Power Agreement School District and is governed by a Board of Directors that establishes policies, adopts a budget, employs staff and provides vocational training programs for high school students and adults.
Education, business and industry leaders work together through various advisory committees to assure meaningful job skill training, a verified labor market demand, and a high potential for student placement.
NKVTC teachers are fully credentialed by the State Department of Education. High School students may earn credits to fulfill their graduation requirements while learning a trade, whereby they will be ready to take their place in the "World of Work". Adults enroll in NKVTC courses to further their education, upgrade their present job skills or learn a trade to prepare themselves to enter the job market.
